Red Sails in the Sunset – Red IPA Recipe Kit

This extract recipe is our take on the popular Red IPA style of beer.

At circa. 6.6% it is a full strength hop forward IPA with moderate bitterness for the style at circa. 52 IBU’s. A touch of Simpsons Black Malt along with the BestMalz Red X give this IPA its reddish hue. Extra Pale and Amber Australian liquid malts with 200g of early boil, steeped and dry hopped Centennial and Simcoe hops combine to round out a sensational beer that will appeal to anyone in the IPA camp.

This recipe is another great introduction to experimenting with hops, wet malts and steeping grains for the beginner or intermediate brewer who wants to take their tin kit brewing to the next level.

Please note: Aussie Brewmakers have updated our Recipe Kits where possible to include Australian made products with Australian sourced ingredients. Aussie Brewmakers supports using Australian over imported products when they are available and are of an equivalent quality.
