How to Use the Gas Disconnect
- Preparation:Sanitize the disconnect with an appropriate sanitizer. Apply a food grade lubricant to the disconnect for smooth operation.
- Attachment:Withdraw the collar of the disconnect to release the internal ball bearings. Align and push the disconnect onto the grey (gas) post marked “IN” on your keg. Release the collar to lock the disconnect securely onto the post.
- Gas Flow:The built in plunger depresses the poppet valve on the keg’s gas post, allowing CO₂ to flow into the keg.
- Detachment:To remove, withdraw the collar to release the ball bearings. Gently pull the disconnect off the keg post. The poppet valve in the keg post will reseal automatically, preventing any gas leaks.
