In the post boil phase for kettle souring to ensure the pH is low enough to discourage unwanted organisms.

Post fermentation to adjust sour beers to the desired low pH to suit taste and mouthfeel.

Please note re:

  1. Incorrect Dilution – Lactic acid is often sold in concentrated form. Failing to dilute it properly can result in overly acidic foods, which may affect texture and taste or even harm your equipment.
  2. Improper Storage: Lactic acid should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Exposure to heat or light can degrade its quality and effectiveness.
