One Fin Single Fin Clone Summer Ale Recipe Kit

This recipe is our extract take on the popular Single Fin Summer Ale by Gage Road Brewers.

This very sessionable ale is light bodied and has a big tropical hit from large additions of Galaxy and Enigma Hops late in the boil, steeped and dry hopped. This beer is easy drinking at circa. 4.5% with a low level of bitterness.

This recipe is in the style of Gage Brewers Single Fin Summer Ale and might not be an exact clone, but if you like the commercial offering then you will be sure to love this brew.

This recipe is another great introduction to experimenting with hops, wet malts and steeping grains for the beginner or intermediate brewer who wants to take their tin kit brewing to the next level.

Ingredients:

1 x 1.5kg Coopers Light Liquid Malt Extract
1 x 1.5kg Morgan’s Master Malts Wheat Liquid Malt Extract
1 x 150g Cracked Crystal Grain
1 x 150g Cracked Carapils Grain
1 x 24g Boil Hop Addition (Galaxy / Enigma)
1 x 40g Steep Hop Addition (Galaxy / Enigma)
1 x 80g Dry Hop Addition (Galaxy / Enigma)
1 x Safale US-05 Dry Ale Yeast
1 x Small Grain / Hop Bag (for dry hopping)

Other Ingredients:

200g of Dextrose if kegging with no secondary fermentation (not supplied)
