Still Spirits Heat Wave Turbo Yeast

This is the only Turbo Yeast to use when the air temperature rises above 30C. Heat Wave Turbo Yeast is a very special temperature tolerant strain of yeast which delivers better quality alcohol in hot conditions.

Heat Turbo Yeast is a yeast and nutrient mix designed to ferment in ambient temperatures above 33°C (91°F) while still producing good distillate quality.

Heat Turbo Yeast is also the only yeast we recommend for `stacking` – up to 200 L (52.8 US Gal) of wash can be fermented using 8 sachets.

Fermentation Time:

At 25°C (77°F): 3-4 days
At 35°C (95°F): 2-3 days

Yield (approx.):

With 6 kg (13.2 lb) Turbo Sugar using the T500 Reflux Condenser: 3.6 L (0.95 US Gal) @ 93% ABV (186 Proof)
With 6 kg (13.2 lb) Dextrose using the T500 Reflux Condenser: 3.5 L @ 93%

Mixing Instructions:

1. Clean and sanitise all equipment before use.
2. Prepare water making sure you end up with 21 L (5.5 US Gal) at the correct water start temperature (indicated on the back of the sachet).
3. Now add sugar, and stir until completely dissolved before adding Turbo Yeast and Turbo Carbon.
