This Single Vessel All-Grain recipe is an American style California Common or Steam Beer.

California Common was historically the beer of the American working class. This beer has moderate bitterness for the style at circa. 35 IBU’s with a toasted, biscuit and caramel malt profile from the additions of Munich, Crystal, Victory and Chocolate Rye. The malt profile is balanced perfectly from the single hop additions of Northern Brewer that add a woody, earthy and mint character to the beer. Fermented to style with a warm ferment Lager yeast and you get a dry sessionable Cali Common in the style of Anchor Steam. Enjoy!
