This Hazelnut Chocolate Brown Ale recipe is a rich and full flavoured with layered depth. Amber malts combined with hazelnut and steeped Cacao Nibs give this beer its distinctive flavour. This recipe is a great introduction to experimenting with hops, steeping and wet malts for the beginner or ‘kit tin’ brewer.

Supplied Kit Ingredients:

• 1×1.7kg Black Rock Nut Brown Ale
• 1×1.5kg Liquid Amber Malt Extract
• 1x250g Light Dried Malt Extract
• 1x200g Organic Cacao Nibs
• 1×50 ml Top Shelf Hazelnut Essence
• 1x12g Chinook Finishing Hops
• 1x12g Cascade Finishing Hops
• 1x10g Mangrove Jack’s Craft Series M15 Empire Ale Yeast
• 1x Small Grain Bag

Other Ingredients / Requirements:

• Dextrose if kegging with no secondary fermentation or bottle conditioning
• Sealed container / Jar for steeping Cacao Nibs
• Small Amount of Vodka
