Carlton Dry All Grain Recipe Kit 23L

This Single Vessel All-Grain recipe is our version of one of Australia’s favourite beers, Carlton Dry. This beer when brewed correctly is a fantastically refreshing, full strength beer.  Simple, and easy to drink, with minimal hopping for that easily recognised Aussie lager flavour. ABV comes in bang on target at around 4.5%. A simple malt base of Pilsner, with a touch of Carapils for head retention, this straw coloured light beer is an easy drinker with minimal bitterness of circa. 12 IBU’s. Clean crisp and super dry, due to the use of a special purpose dry lager yeast that can be fermented at ale temperatures. This is a beer that anyone can easily brew – so what are you waiting for? • Malts – 3.9kg Gladfield Pilsner Malt, Best Malt Carapils
• Hops – 35g Pride of Ringwood and Cascade

• Yeast: 1 x Safbrew LD-20 Dry Lager
• Kettle Fining: 1 x Whirlfloc Tablet (only use 1/2 tablet)

Water adjustment additions, compensations for trub loss, fermenter loss and other specific equipment considerations should be made to these instructions on an as needs; basis. It should be noted gravity readings and final ABV are subject to variance depending on efficiencies of brewing equipment and process. They are supplied as a reference point only.
• The grains for this recipe kit will be milled on our commercial Monster Mill. If you would like the grains unmilled please request this in the Comments section at Checkout.
• From time to time certain grains, hops and yeasts are unavailable. In the event an inclusion in this recipe kit is unavailable a substitute will be made of the same quality, flavour and characteristics
