Please Note: Correct water chemistry is integral to the brewing process and greatly enhances the repeatability of your brews. Your brewing water pH and other characteristics can be altered to suit certain beer specific criteria via the addition of various additives. It should be noted that additions to water that has not been analysed is not recommended. At a minimum local water authority water analysis /chemistry reports should be used or you can test your water yourself with a LaMotte BrewLab Water testing Kit and a pH Meter prior to making adjustments. Once you have your water analysis / chemistry we recommend the use of an online brew water calculator which will ensure the correct quantity and type of additions are added to meet the requirements for your brew.
For further information on water adjustments for brewing please contact the team at Aussie Brewmakers.
